Are you a recent chemistry or engineering graduate / apprentice with a passion for solving technical challenges?
A global cutting-edge laboratory instrumentation developer is seeking a communicative and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support clients in the East / South East of Germany (the candidate will ideally be based in Jena, Zwickau, Bayreuth, Bamberg, Nuremberg, Regensburg, or surrounding areas).
Based in North Germany, the company provides analytical solutions for academia, pharma, chemicals, electronics, and many other industries.
Your scientific background with technical expertise in chemistry, physics, electronics, or a similar area will be invaluable in providing support for the clients in the area.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will :
- Deliver exceptional technical support to customers across a diverse range of industries
- Collaborate closely with the European service team to ensure seamless operations.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot scientific laboratory instruments at customers' sites
- Enjoy the flexibility of a home-based role with regular travel (60-70%) to customer sites
Your background :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or an equivalent relevant apprenticeship) in a scientific field, ideally chemistry, physics, materials science, or engineering
- Exposure and experience working with any type of laboratory instrumentation and equipment for materials characterisation
- Fluency in both German and English is essential
- Driving License
Extensive training will be provided at the company's headquarters in North Germany with accommodation paid by the company.
