Location : Adult Day Centre

Salary : £25,000 per annum FTE, plus a £500 joining bonus

Hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm (Part-time options available : 3 or 4 full days per week)

Annual Leave : 23 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

About the Role :







Join this dedicated team of patient and caring individuals at their adult day centre, supporting autistic learners aged 18 and over.

As a Youth Support Worker, you will :

- Work individually and in small groups to develop knowledge and skills that enhance learners' well-being, independence, and social inclusion.
- Utilise behaviour-driven teaching strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes and development.
- Support learners in applying their skills in real-world situations, both within their Centre for Lifelong Learning and in the community.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide comprehensive support, care, and teaching to autistic adult learners.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities that support knowledge and skill development.
- Offer behaviourally based support to mitigate behaviours that negatively impact quality of life.
- Provide personal care, encouraging and enabling adult learners to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene, including toileting, dressing, and washing.






- Support adult learners' participation in social, leisure, and educational activities within the local community.
- Assist learners in accessing work experience and employment opportunities.
- Monitor and track learners' progress to ensure effective, tailored support.
