A specialist school in Abingdon are looking for a Graduate or experienced TA to join their team as an Autism / SEN Teaching Assistant.
Your role would involve supporting the children aged 4 to 18 with complex autism and other associated needs. The pupils at this school require consistent, ongoing support in order to ensure they have the highest quality of care and child-centred support.
The school are looking for an Autism / SEN Teaching Assistant who understands the pupils needs,
is open-minded and up for a challenge! The children have varying needs although Autism is the main provision.
As an Autism / SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the team in dealing with situations ranging from behaviour / well-being situations and emotional regulation.
You will also be working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to ensure each student is completing their learning objectives and are supported mentally, emotionally and academically.
This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for any Graduate to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school.
You will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from them. Plus you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues.
