The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR Strategy & Operations Team in the People and Workforce Development Service.
The Council’s People Plan outlines the aim to attract, recruit and retain a skilled and resilient workforce to meet the changing needs of the organisation
As our Workforce Planning Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a number of workforce planning projects, for example workforce retention projects and service recruitment plans.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of day-to-day tasks including :
- Produce data and business intelligence that help to inform workforce planning and development strategies
- Produce workforce data reports to explain data trends and highlight areas for intervention to stabilise and improve workforce performance
- Working with the HR / OD Business Partners, Recruitment Team and the Workforce Development Team to ensure recruitment plans are implemented.
- Work with HR / OD Business Partners to support with workforce planning issues and succession planning.

About You
We are looking for a HR professional who has :
- Produced workforce data reports and documentation that have supported senior managers with workforce / business decisions.
- Successfully led various workforce planning projects, such as workforce retention or succession planning.
- Worked in large, complex organisations and delivered to both short and long-term workforce recruitment plans
