Digital Channel Manager

Background and Role
IMCD UK is based in Sutton, Surrey, and employs over 230 people. The role of Digital Channel Manager, reporting into the IT & Digital Transformation Manager is to lead digital projects related to CC360, MyIMCD and Salesforce.
This role will involve the postholder exploring data insights and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements to the systems, for the benefit of our employees and customers.
This role will provide the opportunity for global exposure as they work alongside local and international teams as they take end-to-end ownership of the Business-to-Business Portal (MYIMCD).
Your responsibilities at IMCD :
- To promote the use of MyIMCD / CC360 & Salesforce, by proactively looking for and understanding where there are opportunities to promote the use of these platforms.
- To use data insights and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements.
- To lead digital projects related to MyIMCD, CC360 and Salesforce.
- To work in a sales-oriented manner with the business units and Marketing team to successfully onboard customers to the MYIMCD platform, and to promote continued use of the portal thereafter
- To drive an increase in customer orders / queries through the platform, by promoting benefits of using the platform and improving user experience thereby decreasing in email and telephone traffic as a result.
- To understand, translate, and implement Group Digital Strategy for the UK, by working closely with the global MYIMCD Project Team to ensure that customer feedback is implemented, that the IMCD UK voice is heard,
and that implementation and portal development is localised for the UK Market
- To continually seek opportunities to add value to the MYIMCD portal by understanding customer needs or challenges and presenting / implementing solutions to address these, drawing on data analytics and regular customer feedback to do so
- To work with the Marketing Team on digital marketing campaigns to promote utilisation and benefits of the MYIMCD Platform
- To work closely with the business units to understand the priorities and promotional opportunities for our customers via our platform
- To work with Product Managers and International Product Managers to ensure that product data is cleansed and enriched
- To mentor and train IMCD colleagues on the portal as it evolves, offering not only technical know-how,
but also a clear commercial context at all times.
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required
Ideal Candidate :
- Strong commercial or operational experience in sales or purchasing
- Strong aptitude for / desire to drive improvement
- Proactively look for and to understand where there are opportunities to promote the use of MYIMCD / CC360 & Salesforce
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to interact, influence and negotiate with internal & external stakeholders
- Solutions focused, the ability to use data insights and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements
- A good understanding of product setup and structure (desirable)
- A clear understanding of and ability to navigate JD Edwards,
Salesforce sales and purchasing systems and processes or proven digital skills to navigate similar systems
