Market Connectivity Developer - Fixed Income (Java)
We are looking for a candidate with financial markets technology experience to work within the Market Connectivity team.
The Market Connectivity team is a global team, with the primary responsibility of developing front office trading solutions with brokers, exchanges, ECN’s and third-party platforms across all asset classes and regions.
Principal Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for developing software applications supporting electronic trading with exchanges, brokers and ECNs with an immediate focus on fixed income trading.
- A working knowledge of futures and bond trading is required, with an understanding of RFQ (request for quote)
trading systems is a strong plus.
Additional development responsibilities may include monitoring, research and statistical analysis and automation projects.
Qualifications / Skills Required
- 5+ years Java programming with multi-threading development experience.
- Solid understanding of object oriented programming is required.
- 3+ years of financial institution experience required.
- Strong FIX protocol knowledge is required, FIX 4.2 FIX 5.0. including repeating groups
- Knowledge of binary trading protocols is a plus.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Extensive Linux development experience required.
- Must have a strong understanding of market structure for futures and bonds.
- Must have a working knowledge of networking protocols - TCP / IP & multicast.
- Must be able to troubleshoot production issues (Level "3" support).
