Valeters Needed - Join Driver Hire (Torbay) in Chudleigh!
Driver Hire (Torbay) is currently recruiting Valeters for our client based in Chudleigh, near Newton Abbot, on a temp-to-perm basis.
If you have a passion for vehicle presentation and an eye for detail, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. Please note, a valid UK / EU driving licence is required as you may need to move vehicles as part of your role.
Position Details :
- Hourly Rate : £12.00 per hour.
- Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 - 16 : 30.
- Holiday Entitlement : 28 days annually (including public holidays). After 5 years of service, entitlement increases by 1 day per year, up to 33 days (including bank holidays).
- Pension Scheme :
5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution.
- Health & Wellbeing : Access to the RISE Health and Wellbeing Service.
- Licence Requirement : Full UK / EU driving licence needed.
Main Responsibilities :
- Follow guidance and instructions from the Valeting Manager.
- Thoroughly clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to the highest standards.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets and seats.
- Carry out detailed vehicle polishing.
- Inspect vehicles for damage and report any issues to the line manager.
- Follow health and safety guidelines when using cleaning products and materials.
- Ensure jobs are completed within the allocated timeframes.
- Move vehicles between sites as required.
Essential Skills and Experience :
- Previous experience in automotive detailing is desirable.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of detailing products and techniques.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Full UK / EU driving licence is essential.
To excel in this role, you should be well-organised, familiar with vehicle preparation, and able to work effectively to deadlines.
Training in polishing and detailing will be provided.
