About the Role
We would like to appoint a highly motivated Teacher of the Deaf to our hardworking Sensory Team within the Rochdale Additional Needs Service.
RANS helps children with additional needs to develop the skills to become independent and active members in school and their community.
We aim to remove barriers to learning, improve participation, progress and independence through the use of strategies and specialist equipment.
We will work closely with children, families, settings / schools and other agencies, providing specialist advice, training, teaching and assessment where appropriate
About you
The successful teacher will :
- Be a qualified teacher of the deaf
- Be a dynamic classroom practitioner who has proven experience in raising attainment for children with a hearing impairment
- Be an excellent communicator
- Have experience of multiagency working
- Be able to prioritise their workload
