Our thriving secondary school in West London seeks a talented and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher to join our dynamic faculty.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to shape young minds, foster a love of cooking, and promote healthy eating habits.
About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across all year groups (KS3, KS4), adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of exploration, creativity, and practical skills.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and nutrition.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Food Technology department and contribute to school-wide events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and a love for food.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for food and cooking, with a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
