Overview

This Field Sales Role, supporting Account Managers across the UK with technical and application support and instrument demonstrations for the qPCR & ddPCR range of products, at all stages of the selling process.

The Successful candidate will work with the full UK team of 8 account managers in identifying rtPCR, and subsequently, ddPCR instrument and reagent leads throughout the region and developing these through meetings, presentations and demonstrations in order to present a strong Bio-Rad solution to the customer.

Where necessary, the successful candidate will also contribute to tender documents. Upon a successful outcome, the FAS will also provide post-sales support in the form of training,





application support and results interpretation and troubleshooting where required.

The Successful candidate will also contribute in terms of attendance of exhibitions and seminars as well as supporting local events organized by the account managers as appropriate.

The successful candidate will impact the team on a variety of levels, assisting with sales in order to achieve the company targets and goals, With the wider team in terms of developing useful market knowledge, and with the customers in terms of providing strong solutions and supporting the customers research efforts and thus assisting with the company’s mission of Advancing science and saving lives.

- Working with your Account managers to Identify, develop and close successfully across the region
- To offer post-sales support and training both to new customers and to our existing install base in order to maximise revenue through our instrumentation.

Also,





to identify competitor instrumentation onto which we might also win business and develop sales.

- To attend, and contribute to, exhibitions and seminars both locally to account managers, and nationally where appropriate.
- To bring together information on new products and new applications to aid account manager understanding so that we further develop sales and opportunities to our existing, but also potential customer base.
- To give feedback on market knowledge developed in the field to the team as a whole and the marketing team, in particular.

What You Bring :

- Strong team ethic but also an ability to work alone where necessary.
- Flexibility and a collaborative approach with an ability in particular, to be able to prioritise work.






- Strong scientific knowledge in these specialist areas. Our Account managers have a sound scientific knowledge but as a specialist, you are expected to take the lead where further knowledge is required.
- Good coaching skills
- You must possess a background in Life Science, detailed planning and organization skills.
- You will need to have the ability to travel across South UK territory.
- There could be some travel across UK North and across Europe.
- You will have a Strong Laboratory background in Molecular Biology (qPCR / ddPCR).
- Selling & presentation skills and determination to succeed. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
