What you'll do:

As a Risk & Compliance Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the team advising fee-earners and business teams on a full range of compliance queries. Your role will ensure that all regulatory requirements are met. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of issues across a broad spectrum of Risk & Compliance. This role requires an individual who can adapt quickly to their work, with a solutions-focused approach. A keenness for continuous personal development as well as supporting other team members is essential.

- Maintain an understanding for the main components of risk affecting a law firm
- Daily coverage of the shared Risk & Compliance inbox and escalating queries where appropriate






- Assist in maintaining appropriate records, registers and record-keeping architecture
- Review and assist with client risk assessments
- Initiate ongoing monitoring, enhanced due diligence and sanction regime procedures by liaising with fee-earners
- Work closely with other business support functions, including Client Relations Team, IT and Finance
- Assist in compliance projects, including insurance renewals, third party supplier screening and IT projects
- Analyse conflict search results to identify potential legal and/or commercial conflicts and facilitate the resolution of these

What you bring:

As a Risk & Compliance Assistant, you bring knowledge and general awareness of regulatory client onboarding obligations including conflicts, client due diligence and anti-money laundering. You are proactive, able to manage your own workload, identify areas for improvement and drive projects forward. Your strong attention to detail allows you to handle confidential information professionally.





Your analytical thinking combined with your excellent communication skills enables you to articulate reasoning clearly.

- Knowledge and general awareness of regulatory client onboarding obligations including conflicts, client due diligence and anti-money laundering
- Ability to use own initiative - a pro-active self-manager who can manage their own workload, identify areas for improvement and drive projects forward
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
- Analytical thinker, with good communication skills and ability to articulate reasoning clearly and succinctly






- Experience preferable within legal compliance
