Your New Job:
An expansive Senior Legal Counsel role reporting to the General Counsel in Australia, and taking on line management responsibility of a junior lawyer and a paralegal. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will advise on commercial contracts negotiations (including tech/PaaS licensing, service and reseller agreements),
technology transactions and product matters. You will also be involved in data privacy matters, including GDPR compliance, DSARs, policy review, etc. In a broad role, you will further provide guidance on ad hoc intellectual property, employment, legal compliance and corporate governance matters. You will need to go to the London offices up to three times per week.
Who You Are:
This role will suit a commercial generalist lawyer with a mixture of private practice training and subsequent in-house experience. As a guide, the business is keen to secure someone with 6+ PQE but will actively speak to candidates outside this range if they have relevant experience. You will be an E&W; or Commonwealth qualified lawyer with significant UK experience in commercial transactions, data privacy and internal stakeholder engagement know-how. People management or mentorship experience would be plus. You'll need to have some flexibility given the role reports to Australia,
but the business has always ensured that work-life balance is preserved.
