Overall Purpose:
We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as an Executive Creative Director of Product. This role is integral to defining and communicating the creative vision for our interiors and wallcoverings products, ensuring alignment with our brand strategy and values. You will act as the tastemaker and gatekeeper of our brand, bringing a profound sense of aesthetics, innovation, and a deep understanding of the luxury interiors market and product goals.
Key Responsibilities:Creative Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the overarching creative vision for the brand’s interior products, particularly within textiles and wallcoverings.
- Lead the design process from concept through to execution,
inspiring innovation and ensuring the highest standards.
- Plan and manage the creative strategy, including scope, budget, product development timelines, and deliverables.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and market needs to guide creative decisions and elevate brand performance.
- Ensure attention to detail, quality, and consistency across all creative outputs.
Creative Execution:
- Oversee the execution of product development, leading a hands-on approach in guiding the creative team.
- Mentor and provide direction to designers and other creative professionals, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, technical sales, developers, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand image.
- Identify commercial gaps and opportunities, driving sales performance through innovative product offerings.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Foster a positive, dynamic work environment,
setting clear direction for the design team.
- Supervise the team's progress, balancing autonomy with guidance to allow individuals to flourish.
- Lead professional development initiatives, focusing on growth through ongoing learning and training.
What We Are Looking For:
Creative Experience:
- Over 10 years of design experience, with a strong background in luxury interiors, specifically within textiles and wallcoverings.
- Proven success in developing and delivering luxury interior products, with a focus on innovation and quality.
- Experience acting as a brand ambassador in the high-end luxury market, with a passion for pushing creative boundaries.
- A broad international perspective, with experience in both European and US markets.
- Strategic and operational planning capabilities, with an understanding of global luxury interiors sector challenges and opportunities.
Leadership and Management:
- Demonstrated team leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop direct reports.
- Experience translating creative ideas into practical, actionable plans that drive business results.
- Ability to balance big-picture creative vision with the need for detailed execution.
- A track record of influencing organizational change and encouraging innovative ways of working.
