About the Role:
6 month contract Inside of IR35. The role can pay £325 to £350 a day. Fully remote. Must have a current BPSS.
A thriving tech company are seeking a Contract Agile Business Analyst with a strong background in delivering Public Sector projects. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, well-documented, and translated into high-quality mobile applications.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the success of their mobile software projects by leading the business analysis function and providing strategic insights.
You will work on innovative and impactful mobile software solutions that enhance user experience and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for mobile software development projects.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and QA teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, and wireframes.
- Lead requirements workshops, interviews, and focus groups to ensure a thorough understanding of the project goals and user needs.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and mobile app development by overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of the project from concept to delivery.
- Identify and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions required to meet the desired mobile app functionality.
- Conduct feasibility analysis and contribute to solution design,
ensuring technical feasibility while meeting business goals.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, coordinating with development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Use data-driven insights to support decision-making, including user feedback, market research, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide expert advice on mobile application trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
- Mentor junior business analysts and support their development in mobile software analysis practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years of experience in mobile software development.
- Strong understanding of application development lifecycles.
- Proven experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies,
including writing user stories and managing product backlogs.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in leading or mentoring junior analysts is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of mobile app analytics tools like Google Analytics or Firebase.
- Experience with API integrations and mobile payment systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based mobile app development environments and technologies.
