#nijobs Job Role Director of Finance Location Head Office, 1 Ravenhill Reach Close, Belfast, BT6 8RB Salary £69,138-£90,786 per annum Hours 37 Hours per Week The Role: The Finance Directorate supports the organisation to offer high quality services to individuals and families living with disability, autism & brain injury to live the lives they choose. You will be responsible for an annual operating turnover of around £20m. As Finance Director, you will be responsible for bringing vision, inspiration & strong leadership for the strategic direction, delivery, development and review of robust financial & management accounting services for Cedar Foundation.
You will hold a shared corporate role in the organisation as a member of the Leadership team, making a significant contribution to realising Cedar's vision through external influencing, advocacy & policy engagement as well as shaping the organisation's 5-year Strategic Plan. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong commercial acumen & a genuine passion to drive towards co-production of business excellence. The post holder will be a strategic thinker who will have a strong background in financial leadership with the ability to build strong relationships & work in partnership with relevant stakeholders both internally & externally, drawing on their exceptional professional background in order to influence others. Benefits 25 days annual leave & 12 statutory days (pro rata). Annual leave entitlement increases to 30 days (pro rata) after 5 years' service and 32 days (pro rata) after 10 years' service. Essential Criteria Professional Accountant Qualification with relevant Accountancy Body (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or ACCA).
A minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience in a senior* management role (in the last 7 years) in a large or complex** organisation to include all points (see Job Description) Demonstrated ability to implement & manage financial systems, with a keen interest in leveraging technology for business efficiency. Knowledge of the funding & policy context, legislative & regulatory framework of the public/voluntary sectors. Detailed knowledge & understanding of positive organisational risk management practices. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills demonstrating ability to analyse complex situations and make appropriate strategic decisions. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to influence people, construct business cases, board reports & presentations aligned to the audience.
