Senior Business Analyst
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of transformational Student Record Systems Change Programme.

The University of Southampton is searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join a new programme of change. This is an exciting new programme, shaping a multidisciplinary team of change professionals to deliver multiple workstreams of technically enabled change, ranging from new infrastructure, student system software, business change and process and data redesign.
Joining this programme as a Snr Business Analyst, you'll be ensuring key business goals are understood and requirements are documented. To do this, you'll be working with colleagues to ensure that quality business solutions, that address the requirements of the business are delivered. We'll look to you to participate, lead, and contribute to relevant business and project meetings, Provide support and training to the technical and business teams for the new systems and processes.
Delivering for staff and students is critical, so considering their needs and being prepared to challenge decisions that are not in their best interests is vital. You'll need to understand ERP, other change initiatives,
recognise dependencies, and determine if business benefits can be realised through alignment of change initiatives.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst with implementation or integration/API experience.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to confidently analyse and resolve complex integration problems.
- An excellent understanding of creating and writing functional and technical specifications for systems.
- Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with facilitating
- Ability to lead, negotiate and influence - to challenge and drive the necessary changes.
- Experience of working on medium to large scale assignments
- Detailed knowledge and experience of application of business analysis tools and techniques
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable navigating tight deadlines.
