The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is an independent, non-profit social enterprise dedicated to identifying, countering and exposing influence operations. Our mission is to raise awareness of the threat to democracy and objective truth from influence operations, including disinformation, and help to counter it.
CIR currently fulfils its mission through three strands - programmes and research, the Global Investigations Unit and our Resilience Network. We are a collaborative initiative with global ambitions: we aim to work with partners including civil society, the media, grassroots organisations, academia and democratic governments to coordinate activities.

Hours needed for this role: Full time
Location: Remote, with availability required during core CIR working hours - 12pm to 4pm UK time.

About The Project
The Project leverages a network of experts in Sub-saharan Africa, and a trusted consortium with a history of delivering impactful, evidence-based solutions to counter FIMI around the world. The Communications and Engagement Team oversees all external communications from the CIR Global Resilience Network (through media placement, and/or partnerships) and flagship delegations in project countries.
Overview Of The Role
The Events Coordinator will support the planning and execution of local events and delegations, ensuring smooth logistics, effective communication, and successful outcomes during travel. Delegations are ranked by their complexity (Gold,
Silver and Bronze), with Gold and Silver delegations delivered in collaboration with one of CIR's Consortium Partner.
This role is expected to work closely with the Project Management Team on key management functions like finance and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Organisation:
- Collaborate with the Engagement Manager and Comms & Engagement Lead to define the objectives and framework for Bronze delegations
- Collaborate with the Engagement Manager on the planning for Local Events
- Support scheduling meetings and prepare material ahead of Events or Delegation
Logistics & Administration:
- Manage logistics and administrative tasks for Local Events and Bronze delegations, including travel arrangements,
accommodations, and itineraries
- Ensure all necessary resources and materials are prepared and available for delegates
- Arrange relevant payments, review invoices and prepare spend report relating to Local Events and Bronze delegations
On-Site Support:
- Accompany the Bronze delegation during travel to ensure all arrangements run smoothly
- Brief delegates on daily objectives, schedules, and key contacts to facilitate effective engagement
Communication and Reporting:
- Provide daily situation reports (sitreps) to the London team, detailing progress, challenges, and key developments during the delegation
- Maintain open lines of communication between delegates, the London team, and local contacts to address any emerging issues promptly
Follow-Up Activities:
- Assist the Comms & Engagement Lead in post-delegation follow-ups, including feedback collection and analysis to inform future delegations
- Liaise with Engagement Manager, Network Manager and Research and Insights Leads on relevant contribution from the team in the follow-up activities
- Support the preparation of final reports and presentations summarising outcomes and lessons learned
Requirements
Required qualifications and skills
- Experience working in logistics or project coordination or project management roles
- Strong organizational and logistical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working in West or East Africa is desirable
- Proficient in English; proficiency or knowledge in Ukrainian is desirable; knowledge of Russian or other local languages relevant to the project is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing circumstances
Working Arrangements:
This role will report into the Comms and Engagement Manager. The expected input is 5 days per week, which can be worked flexibly or according to set days/times, as agreed in advance.
You would be expected to make yourself available for core meetings, training sessions etc, as agreed in advance. To note that some out of hours working may be required to accommodate time differences between international and local investigators, although this will be minimised as far as possible.
The role may require occasional travel within and outside of Ukraine.
