Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Support Engineer - Wintel Engineering, BAU Support, 3rd Line Support, ServiceNow, ITIL; Active Directory AD/GPo/AzureAD (Entra), Powershell, Azure. London/Remote Hybrid (3/2), 12 Month FTC, £ Competitive Salary & Benefits (Withheld by client); commensurate with market rates and experience required; will be disclosed upon application. Global Law Firm seeks Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Support Engineer to focus on Wintel Engineering across significant global landscape incorporating over 150 domain controllers. You will be focussed on 3rd line BAU support activities primarily related to Active Directory, AzureAD (Entra), Group Policy, O365 / Exchange and other related core services.
This is a senior engineering role requiring a candidate who has significant understanding and experience of Active Directory, Azure and Powershell for the management and automation of both on-prem and in-cloud (Azure) services. As such, the successful candidate will focus on:
- Management, operation and full lifecycle support of all core Infrastructure inc Domain Controllers/Active Directory/AzureAD/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy
- The global support of Azure hosted services and their integration with all applications across the estate inc Conditional Access Policies/Role & Group Management/Entra Connect/Authenticator
- Management and Automation of tasks related to core infrastructure services in both on-prem and Azure cloud scenarios with Powershell scripting
- Management of all tickets via ServiceNow within a reasonably strict ITIIL environment with well established change management practices
- Liaison with various teams including Network, InfoSec/CyberSec, Application,
3rd Party vendors as well as internal business teams.
We are searching for an Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Wintel Engineer who can demonstrate a mix of the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience, skills and understanding of domain controllers incorporating AD/GPo/AzureAD (Entra)
- 3rd Line Support Engineering Tasks (as a primary focus) within ITIL environments dealing with issues arising from a global Wintel Infrastructure landscape, with a focus on Active Directory
- Solid understanding and experience with AzureAD (Entra) from an engineering and problem identification and resolution perspective (NOT migration)
- Full capability of writing, managing,
editing and utilising Powershell scripts for the management of the domain controllers and all related technologies as well as automation in both on-prem and Azure cloud environments
- Ability to work within a small team and adapt to a global professional services environment and communicate with multiple teams in both technical and business environments.
