Are you an established Specification Sales Engineer? Would you like to join a company that is on an upwards journey of growth?
Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Specification Sales Engineer to join their team at their sales team based in the West Midlands area. Reporting directly to the CEO you will use your technical knowledge and sales skills to provide advise and support on a range of our clients engineering products. It is expected that the successful candidate will spend 85/90% of there time working closely with Mechanical and Electrical contractors, gaining specifications for current and future projects.
You will provide a key point of contact for the installers of our products and provide both pre and post sales advice. You will liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as:
design
development
production
purchasing
quality
senior company managers.What's in for you?

Circa £55k -£65K

Mobile Phone and LaptopSkills required to be a Procurement Manager:
a solid technical background with either a formal qualification or a minimum of 5 years related sales experience
selling and strong communication skills
sound judgement and good business sense
organisational skills
teamworking ability
the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
analytical and problem-solving skills
resilience, tenacity, Independence, and self-relianceEducation, Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification in purchasing, business, materials management, operations management, or related fields
Experience in Supplier negotiation and procurement (preferably importing from Asia)
Strong commercial skills preferably with a manufacturing background
Working knowledge of Purchasing principles and practices
Knowledge of demand planning and MRP/ERP systems
Strong numeracy, financial and commercial acumen
High competency level in MS Office applications
Previous experience of managing a team
