Job description

The Governors wish to make a permanent appointment of a passionate, dedicated and ambitious level 3 senior early years teaching assistant to join our highly successful and very supportive team.

This post is to start as soon as possible and will be based in our off-site 78 place nursery.

The successful candidate will :

- Be a team player who is supportive of the school’s Christian ethos, vision and values.
- Have experience throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Have a good knowledge of child development, the EYFS framework and its principles.
- Have a good understanding of the importance of learning through play and how to effectively support and interact with young children through high quality and purposeful play opportunities and experiences.
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children, with the commitment and drive to raise standards.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have an ability to lead and support pupils in a large group.






- Be a caring and reflective practitioner who has excellent relationships with the children.
- Be able to provide valuable support to the teacher with planning high quality learning activities and play provision both indoors and outdoors.
- Support pupils who access the 30 hour provision over the lunchtime period.
- Be highly motivated and resilient and an excellent role model to other colleagues and our families.
