What is the opportunity?
This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a diverse and experienced investment research team and build their career in one of the top UK wealth managers.
The role of Alternative Investments Fund Analyst is responsible for fund manager selection and model portfolio constructions, with a focus on alternatives, real assets, and private markets, and will have an opportunity to further develop fund manager research and selection skills whilst supporting the Global Manager Research Europe team with manager selection, model portfolio constructions and ESG research across all other major asset classes.
What will you do?
Collaborate and support asset class specialists across the Global Manager Research Europe team with new fund searches, Due Diligence refreshes and fund updates.
Lead new manager searches in liquid alternatives, and support manager searches in equity, fixed income, real assets, and private markets.
Contribute to the model construction and management of internal funds, across all major asset classes, with a focus on liquid alternatives.
Support global manager research analysts with qualitative and quantitative analysis and reporting.
Undertake meeting prep with a guidance of a senior analyst, attend and review external fund manager meetings.
Undertake consistent monitoring of the approved fund list and disseminate monitoring findings to the team.
Prepare relevant reports and data analysis for internal meetings and committees and help document them.
Respond to and / or redirect investment manager queries in a timely manner.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Educated to University degree level.
Interest in or already working towards post-graduate qualifications (e.g. CFA, ACA, MBA)
Experience in Manager Research.
Programming languages (i.e. python) knowledge.
Strong Excel skills with focus on data analytics.
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of the Liquid Alts sector.
