They are seeking a skilled andenthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join their faculty in a fulltimepermanent capacity starting thisSeptember.
PositionSummary
The successful candidatewill be responsible for delivering a highquality Sociologycurriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The roleentails :
- Designing and deliveringengaging and thoughtprovoking Sociology lessons that align with thenational curriculum and schools educationalphilosophy.
- Creating a dynamic and inclusiveclassroom environment that encourages critical thinking debate andexploration of complex societalissues.
- Assessing and monitoring studentprogress providing constructive feedback and implementingpersonalized learning strategies.
- Collaboratingwith colleagues within the Social Sciences department and acrossthe wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching andlearning.
- Engaging in continuous professionaldevelopment to stay abreast of current sociological research andpedagogicalapproaches.
CandidateProfile
The ideal candidate willpossess :
- A Bachelors degree or higherin Sociology or a related field.
- QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teachingcertification.
- Demonstrated experience teachingSociology at the secondary level preferably across Key Stages 4 and5.
- A passion for Sociology and the ability toinspire students to develop a critical understanding of the socialworld.
- Excellent communication interpersonaland organizational skills.
- The ability to workcollaboratively andindependently.
