Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology
£44, - £56, per annum (pro rata)
Part time / Fixed Term - 22 hours X 24 months
About the Role
You should be an enthusiastic educator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting students' development at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Mentoring and support for personal and professional development will be provided to appointees appropriate to their level of experience.
We expect you to be registered and / or accredited with a recognised counselling / psychotherapy / counselling psychology or related professional body (e.
g. BPS, BACP, UKCP).
It would be ideal if you hold a PhD or Professional Doctorate (or be working towards this).
Applicants will be qualified to at least Master’s level. A good honours degree in Psychology or a related field is essential.

You would be joining NTU Psychology,
the largest department in the University with over academic staff, 30 research and support staff and doctoral students.

NTU Psychology has a strong commitment to wellbeing and mental health at all levels of our provision and launched a BSc Psychology with Counselling course in .
In addition to that we have a mental health pathway in our core undergraduate program (BSc Psychology), a significant number of specialist mental health final year options and several popular MSc courses in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health and Forensic Mental Health.
This year we launched our MSc Clinical Associate Psychologist apprenticeship course. We employ practitioners and academics to deliver these courses and we place a high value on practice-based teaching.
We want to add experienced counsellors and psychotherapists to our faculty of staff to strengthen our teaching of Counselling,
psychological wellbeing and mental health.
