Head of Design and Technology HighlyRegarded Croydon Secondary School (Starting January2025)
We are a leading education recruitmentconsultancy working with a highly regarded secondary school inCroydon South London.
They are seeking a dynamic and experiencedHead of Design and Technology to lead their thriving departmentfrom January2025 (fulltime permanentposition).

Design and Technology plays a vital role in theircurriculum and they seek an exceptional leader to further developand elevate this area.
About theRole :
- Provide visionaryleadership for the Design and Technology department setting thestrategic direction and ensuring its continuedsuccess.
- Develop and implement a stimulatingand comprehensive curriculum that aligns with national standardsand ignites students passion for design andinnovation.
- Lead a dedicated team of Design andTechnology teachers providing mentorship and fostering theirprofessional development.
- Oversee all aspectsof the Design and Technology department including budgetingresources and health and safety.
- Monitorstudent progress analyze data and implement strategies tocontinuously improve learningoutcomes.
- Cultivate strong relationships withcolleagues across the school to ensure a cohesive learningenvironment.
We areseeking an individualwith :
- A relevant degreein Design and Technology or a relatedfield.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and aminimum of 5 years successful teaching experience in Design andTechnology ideally within a secondary schoolsetting.
- Proven leadership experience with ademonstrable track record of driving improvement within a Designand Technology department.
- Excellentcommunication interpersonal and organizationalskills.
- A passion for design thinkingproblemsolving and fostering creativity instudents.
- The ability to inspire and motivateyoung people creating a dynamic and engaging learningenvironment.
