ThePosition
As an Economics Teacheryou will be instrumental in delivering a stimulating andcomprehensive economics curriculum to students across Key Stages 4and 5.
You will foster a deep understanding of economic principlestheories and their realworld applications preparing students forfurther study and futurecareers.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Developand deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the nationalcurriculum and the schools educationalethos.
- Create a supportive and inclusivelearning environment that encourages inquiry debate and criticalanalysis.
- Assess student progress through avariety of formative and summative assessments providing timely andconstructive feedback.
- Collaborate withcolleagues within the Social Sciences department to enhance thecurriculum and contribute to extracurricularactivities.
- Stay informed about currenteconomic trends and developments incorporating them into yourteaching.
Qualificationsand Experience :
- ABachelors degree or higher in Economics or a closely relateddiscipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) oran equivalent teaching qualification.
- Provenexperience teaching Economics at the secondary level preferablyacross Key Stages 4 and 5.
- A strong grasp ofeconomic theory principles and their practicalapplications.
- Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivatestudents.
