Compliance Officer - Southwark, London

Position : Compliance Officer

Salary : £32,000

Location : Southwark, London - hybrid 1-2 days in the office

Hours : 9-5

Our client, a leading Insurance Company is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Compliance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that our client complies with regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining high standards of internal policies.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct risk assessments
- Act as the primary contact and liaison between department heads and senior management on all compliance and complaints-related issues
- Perform regular assessments and audits to ensure policies align with legal requirements






- Complete SARS requests
- Collaborate with the manager to review the Operational Risk register
- Work alongside the administration teams to ensure compliance in all areas
- Assist in conducting QA checks on customer correspondences
- Support the compliance team in implementing policies and procedures
- Aid in the gathering of information in response to requests by regulatory organisations

Skills and Experience :

- Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in presenting reports to various stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
- Experience in risk assessment and management.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Significant experience in the insurance sector.
- Working knowledge of FCA and FOS rules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous experience in a compliance officer role or similar.
