Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Team administrator who has excellent communication skills, is computer literate and has excellent team building and interpersonal skills to work in the Central Core Team.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, ensuring the team is supported and is running smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to prioritise their workload and has the essential skills required for the post.







The successful candidate will be working in a challenging and interesting environment and will be responsible for providing a high and comprehensive level of administrative and customer service skills which will enable them to deal with service users in a courteous, polite and helpful manner and ensure that any concerns or issues raised is dealt with in a confidential manner.

We require a candidate who has good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will need to have :

- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Be computer literate
- Have knowledge of RIO or similar database
- Minute taking skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Be able to deal with difficult / challenging situations
- Able to use your initiative

The individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Trust and local protocols for Data Protection, Health and Safety, Security and Fire Safety within the administration team.

The post holder will be required to use their initiative in all aspects of secretarial and clerical work to efficiently prioritise work and meet deadlines, as the service requires.

The successful candidate will have experience of working to deadlines,





prioritising workloads, maintaining a positive, proactive approach to work.

Co-ordinate the administrative function within the teams to deliver an efficient and effective service that supports clinical service delivery, service management, service users and carers.

Working for our organisation

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I;) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work.







This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust.

The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

To be noted :

- The post holder may be required to work across the service line and to undertake other duties which fall within the grade of the job, in discussion with the manager.






- This job description will be reviewed regularly in the light of changing service requirements and any such changes will be discussed with the post holder.
- The post holder is expected to comply with all relevant Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those relating to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Confidentiality of Information

Person specification

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria

Educated to NVQ Level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience working in a similar area.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria

- Customer services experience and dealing with phone enquires
- Experience of taking minutes, transcribing and distributing agendas and documents
- The ability to prioritise your own workload and good organisational skills
- Experience of a variety of secretary skills, drafting lettings,





typing documents / reports
- Knowledge of booking taxis, interpreters and room bookings

Desirable criteria

2 years NHS experience of working in a mental health setting.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Essential criteria

Extensive use and knowledge of all Microsoft Office : Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher.

Desirable criteria

Extensive Knowledge of electronic clinical records, RIO or another type patient database system

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Essential criteria

- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Works without supervision,





advice available from line manager when required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Essential criteria

- Experience of working in a distressing or emotional setting
