Operating Room Manager

Job Summary :
Are you ready to take charge of a fast-paced, high-stakes environment? We’re seeking an Operating Room Manager who will be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of our Operating Room (OR) Department, ensuring the highest quality care and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
You’ll be a vital leader in maintaining seamless collaboration between nursing staff, medical staff, and other departments, all while ensuring that patient care meets the highest standards of excellence.
As the Operating Room Manager , you’ll be responsible for the following key duties :
Day-to-Day Operations :
You’ll lead the daily functions of the OR department, with a keen focus on maintaining quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Your leadership will ensure the smooth flow of surgeries, with attention to the unique needs of patients of all ages.
- Collaborative Leadership : Establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships across multiple departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.
- Patient-Centered Care : Ensure that patient care aligns with the specific developmental and treatment needs of various age groups, using your expertise to interpret and act on patient information.
- Leadership Support : In the absence of the Director, you will assume full responsibility for the unit, ensuring operations continue seamlessly and the team feels supported.
- Continuous Improvement : Take an active role in quality assurance, spearheading initiatives that enhance patient safety and satisfaction, while meeting all regulatory and compliance standards.
What Qualifications You Will Need :
- Registered Nurse Licensure : Current RN licensure in the state of Utah or a Registered Nurse compact license from participating compact states.
- Certification : American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification is required.
- CNOR Certification : Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, with a Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience : A minimum of two years of leadership experience in a hospital operating room is essential. Trauma level experience is highly preferred, as we seek individuals with expertise in high-intensity environments.
Note :
We will not consider candidates with only surgery center experience.
