Head of Finance - Permanent - £65,000 - Slough
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading academy based in Slough to assist with their recruitment of a head of finance on a permanent basis.
This is a key role within their team that will support growth and ensure robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the school's financial strategy in alignment with overall school goals
- Prepare for termly audits
- Manage payroll and pensions
- Line manage two finance officers
- Report to governors on the use of school funds
- Reconcile all payments to Suppliers & Ad-Hoc
- Cash Flow - Weekly
- Management Accounts - Monthly
- Oversee some key functions within the school as required
Successful Candidate :
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience working within the education sector
- Ability to Line Manage the finance team members
- Good knowledge of MS excel and Sage.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage a high work load and meet deadlines
- Ability to produce monthly management accounts, termly reports to governors and other statutory agencies.
