Job description
Driver Hire (Torbay) is seeking Vehicle Assemblers / Fitters for our client Newton Abbot . This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills and build a stable career in vehicle assembly.
Key Details :
- Hourly Pay : £13 per hour.
- Working Hours : Rotating Shift : One Week 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM, Next Week 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM
- Holiday Entitlement : 28 days per year (inclusive of public holidays). After 5 years of continuous service, this increases by 1 day annually, up to a maximum of 33 days (including bank holidays).
- Pension Scheme : 5% employee and 3% employer contribution.
- Licence Requirement : A full UK / EU driving licence is required.
Daily Duties :
- Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and SOPs.
- Use a range of air and hand tools skilfully and safely.
- Follow defined processes without deviation.
- Build and maintain all assemblies to meet quality standards .
- Ensure all company tools are used safely and kept in clean, workable condition .
- Complete all necessary company documentation and keep work areas tidy and up to standard.
Essential Skills and Experience :
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional approach.
- Excellent attention to detail .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrics is an advantage but not essential if you're willing to learn.
- Flexibility and a can-do attitude when working with power and air tools.
While experience in a manufacturing site or production line is advantageous, it is not essential, and training will be provided for the right candidates.
