Male SEN Teaching Assistant Year 4
A primary school is seeking a Male SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 boy with complex needs. The position requires a male due to the specific needs of the child.
This is a full-time, term-time-only role starting immediately and running until the end of the academic year.

£80 £90 per day

1 : 1 support to a young boy in Year 4 with complex needs
You’ll be working 1 : 1 with the child, providing support in both his learning and emotional development. The right candidate will be friendly, firm, and fair,
able to build a trusting relationship while maintaining clear boundaries.
You’ll need patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit the child’s individual needs.
Responsibilities :
- Provide tailored 1 : 1 support to help the child manage his learning and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to develop strategies that meet his unique needs.
- Be a positive, consistent presence in his daily routine, helping him engage with his education and peers.
- Adapt activities and tasks to ensure the child’s progress in line with his individual education plan.
Requirements :
- Previous experience in SEN support is beneficial but not essential.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to be both supportive and structured.
- An interest in working with children with complex needs.
