We aredelighted to collaborate with a reputable secondary school inKingston actively seeking a dedicated and inspiring Food TechnologyTeacher to join their team.
This fulltime permanent position offersan immediate start and the chance to cultivate a love for culinaryarts and food science in younglearners.
PositionOverview :
The successful candidatewill be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engagingFood Technology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will play a key role in fostering students practical skillsnutritional knowledge and understanding of food safety whileencouraging creativity and innovation in thekitchen.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Developand implement captivating lesson plans that align with the nationalcurriculum and cater to diverse learningstyles.
- Create a safe and stimulating learningenvironment in the food technology classroom ensuring adherence tohealth and safety protocols.
- Assess studentprogress through practical assessments and theoretical evaluationsproviding constructive feedback to support theirgrowth.
- Cultivate a passion for food andnutrition inspiring students to make informed choices about theirdiet and lifestyle.
- Collaborate with colleagueswithin the Design & Technology department to enrich theoverall learning experience and contribute to extracurricularactivities.
QualificationsandExperience :
- Bachelorsdegree in Food Technology Home Economics or a relatedfield.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) orequivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstratedexperience teaching Food Technology at the secondarylevel.
- A strong understanding of food sciencenutrition and food safety principles.
- Excellentpractical culinary skills and the ability to inspire creativity instudents.
