This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression in young learners.
The Role
As a Drama Teacher,
you will be instrumental in fostering a love for the performing arts and nurturing the dramatic talents of students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will design and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop their communication skills, and build their self-confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school's artistic vision.
- Direct and produce school productions and performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and celebrates individual expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department to enrich the overall program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
- A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
