Role Overview :
As a Trainee Sales and Marketing Manager , you’ll begin your journey by mastering the fundamentals of face-to-face sales and marketing.
You will be trained to engage directly with potential customers, educate them about our energy solutions, and drive sales while delivering excellent service.
This is a hands-on, field-based role, designed to transition you into a leadership position, where you’ll eventually manage your own team and lead marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities :
- Direct Customer Engagement : Start by learning the ropes of face-to-face sales, approaching customers in various locations such as residential areas, community hubs, and public events to introduce our energy solutions.
- Sales Execution : Demonstrate our renewable energy products and services, answer customer questions, and close sales, ensuring you meet and exceed sales targets.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with fellow trainees and senior team members to learn effective marketing strategies and sales techniques.
- Market Research : Gather insights directly from the field to understand customer needs and improve our approach, contributing to strategy development.
- Training and Development : Participate in comprehensive training sessions covering product knowledge, sales skills, and marketing strategies to accelerate your growth.
- Leadership Development : As you gain experience, you will begin to train new hires and eventually manage a small team, leading field campaigns and developing marketing initiatives.
- Performance Tracking : Use our CRM system and sales tools to monitor your progress, set personal and team goals, and identify areas for improvement.
- Field Campaign Management :
Assist in planning and executing field marketing events and activities designed to boost brand awareness and generate leads.
What We’re Looking For :
- Education : A background in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. We value enthusiasm and the willingness to learn.
- Sales or Customer Service Experience : Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role is beneficial but not essential;
we provide comprehensive training.
- Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence customers directly.
- Adaptability : Ability to work in various outdoor and indoor field environments and adapt to different customer interactions.
- Leadership Potential :
Ambition to grow into a managerial role, with a proactive approach to learning and personal development.
- Technology Proficiency : Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software for tracking sales progress and customer data.
- Work Rights : Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK (unfortunately, we cannot consider Tier 4 or PSW visa holders).
