Oldham Local Authority Children’s Residential Service is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Residential Registered Manager.

You will take the helm at our new children’s home, steering us through the opening stages and beyond, into the thriving day-to-day life of a nurturing residential setting.

Oldham Children’s Services are looking for a caring motivated Registered Home Manager who can lead a team of Residential Workers to achieve the best outcomes for the young people within our care.

The successful candidate needs to be committed to the role and have significant experience in working with and understanding children in a residential childcare setting.

As the Registered Home Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of care in your home and ensuring that the home provides the children with warm nurturing and rich childhood experiences.

You will be supported in your role with regular supervision and be enrolled within the Oldham’s extensive training package.







Further widespread assistance within Oldham Local Authority is provided by our Senior Leadership team, Finance, Administration, Training and Development Departments along with the extensive professional knowledge from individuals to enhance and progress in your own career.

As part of the control, and guidance to young people resident within the home that is consistent with the Homes Statement of Purpose, Children standards and regulations 2015, Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, The Leaving Care Act 2000 and Oldham Council Policies and Procedures.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS (and a Certificate of Good Conduct where you have lived abroad for 12 months or more in the last 10 years).







The successful applicant will be required to register to the DBS Update Service to enable the Council to undertake rechecks throughout your employment.

The cost to register is £13 and can be claimed back upon commencement to the role but will not be refunded if you do not accept the offer of employment.
