A brand new primary special needs (SEN) school based Barking and Dagenham is seeking a Special Needs Teacher for an ASD / SLD Class - opportunity in either Early Years of Key Stage 1.
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - Details :
- Teaching a mixed class, pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties
- Pupils working at P levels
- Curriculum based loosely on the Early Years curriculum with a particular focus on developing social and communication skills.
- Work alongside two really friendly and capable learning support assistants (LSAs)
- Make use of School facilities including Sensory Rooms and extensive outside areas
- Sociable staff team (regular Friday drinks!)
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - The successful applicant :
- The successful Special Needs Teacher will need to be;
- Flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative where required
- Experienced working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date DBS
- UK QTS or an overseas teaching qualification
Ideally the successful applicant will have a proven track record working in an SEN environment but the Headteacher will consider a primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN, a proven track record as a teacher and a can do attitude.
