Contract Type : Permanent
Salary : Grade F. Scale 17 - £22,376 to Scale 22 - £24,394
Hours : 28 hours per week over a 4 week flex duty rota
Base Location : Children’s Home, Dukinfield

The Role
We are looking to recruit experienced and enthusiastic people to join our team proving care and support to children and young people with additional needs arising from their disability.
We believe children who have disabilities are equally valued and empowered to live full and rewarding lives and have the same experiences for social inclusion as all children.
It is our mission to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities through the provision of high quality services in partnership with the children, their families, carers and other professionals.
About You
You will need to provide practical person centred support, ensure that the children receive an excellent standard of care and support them to live full and active lives.
You must have a professional approach. An understanding of the needs of people who have disabilities is essential and, preferably, experience of working in a person centred manner including the maintenance of support plans and other associated record keeping.
You must be willing to work in a flexible manner which will include morning, evening, weekend, sleep-in duty, night shifts and bank holiday work.
You will need excellent written, communication and basic IT skills.
You will be expected to undertake shift leader duties as required after the necessary period of experience within the home.
The level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, or equivalent is an essential requirement.
