Hybrid working is potentially available, depending on the area and manager. JLR is a multi-site business and you’ll be required to spend time working with different departments at several locations.
JLR’s graduate programmes are not eligible for sponsorship and therefore,

BUSINESS STRATEGY GRADUATE PROGRAMME
We are reimagining the future of modern luxury through innovative design for our iconic British brands - Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar. To deliver our Reimagine strategy, we need to enhance our already impressive organisational capabilities - and that’s where you come in.
This two-year graduate programme will give you the technical skills and practical experience in developing and delivering business strategy.
Whether you join our Strategy and Sustainability team, Vehicle Programmes team, or Engineering Operations team, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your network, grow your skills, and contribute to our transformation journey as we work towards becoming a carbon net zero business by 2039.

Strategy and Sustainability
As our business and industry evolves, the role of strategy becomes more integral to unlocking and delivering value for JLR and the wider Tata Group. Operating in a fast-paced, business-critical environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to shape our future. In particular,
you will develop our enterprise strategy – leveraging the strength of the wider Tata Group and delivering our sustainability commitment as we travel the road to net zero. Along the way, you could find yourself working with pivotal teams including Strategy, Strategy Deployment, Sustainability, Innovation, Tata Ecosystems or Global Financial Services.
There will be opportunities to develop your skills in areas such as project and change management, analytical thinking, sustainable practises, strategy creation and deployment and stakeholder management. With such scope on offer and ongoing support from experts and business leaders, we’ll give you diverse and exciting challenges through a variety of rotations, which you can help to shape.
At the end of the programme, you could move into one of several roles across the function,
depending on your knowledge and experience, preferences and business priorities. This could include becoming an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analyst, strategic foresight analyst or take on a broad spectrum of other challenges.
Vehicle Programmes
Vehicle Programmes offers a truly cross-functional experience spanning product strategy, programme management, business transformation, vehicle technologies, vehicle accessories and vehicle personalisation.
During your programme, you will be initially assigned to one of the key areas Transformation, Product Strategy or Vehicle Technologies. Along the way, you will gain a customer-centric view of satisfying evolving needs and accelerating delivery to reduce time-to-market,
using Agile principles to transform the way we think and work.
Transformation
Bringing our Reimagine strategy to life, the Transformation team leads the delivery of far-reaching workstreams that will profoundly change the way we think and work. In particular, you will support our adoption of agile methodologies in product delivery, spanning both strategy and implementation.
Product Strategy
The critical link between the JLR brand, the customer and programme delivery. The Product Strategy team owns the strategy phase of product creation, developing innovative product concepts informed by consumer, competitor, technology, supply chain and legislative intelligence. You will support our business to achieve sustainable,
commercial success to enrich our customers’ experiences.
Vehicle Technologies
The integrators for the enterprise to create and deliver successful cross carline vehicle technologies on time, to profit and to quality. You will ensure robust business case analysis to optimise enterprise value of our technology.
Engineering Operations
Engineering Operations underpins technical innovation and product delivery with modern tools and processes, and specialist technical services. Delivering world-class products wouldn’t be possible without our diverse team who work on everything from project management and data analytics, right through to building and testing prototypes. We’re
involved at every stage of the engineering process,
helping JLR to transform the way we engineer and deliver our products.

As a graduate, you’ll join a bespoke learning programme designed and delivered in partnership with our external training partner, Ashorne Hill. You’ll build essential business skills, including resilience, decision making and problem solving, personal branding, and self-care. Plus,
you’ll have dedicated off-the-job learning time and the ongoing support of our Early Careers Delivery team, who will be with you throughout your journey.
During the programme, you’ll sharpen your creative and strategic thinking, develop leadership skills, and contribute to key business projects. By the time you finish, you’ll be ready to make an impact and play a vital role in shaping the future of JLR.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
To join the Strategy Graduate Programme, you’ll need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in any degree discipline.
You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions. Strong numerical and interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to champion new initiatives, are also essential.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
Our 2025 graduate programme salary is £32,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR. After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £39,000 salary.
