Job Summary
This is not Sponsorsed Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in their home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other staff members. You must be a car driver to apply.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure that each person's needs are met effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for persons by following health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with persons, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and any changes in condition.
- Support persons in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in persons' conditions to senior staff.
- Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or community activities.
Skills
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
- Experience in a home care setting is essential.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards residents' needs.
