Thurn Partners are on the lookout for an L&D; Manager who is ready to embark on a very exciting journey with us. Your mission: partner with our leadership team to really put your stamp on all things L&D.; We need someone who can draw upon their wealth of experience to craft a robust learning & development strategy that propels our business to new heights. At the same time, you'll be the driving force behind designing, rolling out and embedding our graduate programme. Reporting directly to our Head of People, you will be have ownership for all things learning, growth and development, a pivotal role that shapes our future success.

Responsibilities:

Critical Evaluation of the L&D; Strategy







- Critical evaluation of the company’s current L&D; offering/strategy, ensuring it aligns with Thurn Partners’ culture. Assess the needs of the organisation and prioritise according to the changing operational needs of the business. Review whether existing training programmes meet our needs and research and develop alternatives if required
- Use your knowledge and creativity to continue to build an ongoing learning culture at Thurn Partners. Unlock innovation by bringing new ideas, frameworks and understanding to our leaders and help them to apply that knowledge
- Keep abreast of best practices in talent management, leadership development and associated People practices.

Plan & Manage Graduate Programme

- Coordinate the onboarding process for incoming graduates,





ensuring a smooth transition into the graduate programme and the business.
- Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive graduate programme tailored to the needs and objectives of Thurn Partners – this will span a graduate’s first day until their probation pass.
- Create engaging curriculum content, including learning materials, workshops, and resources, to support the development of graduates.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to graduates, offering guidance and assistance throughout the duration of the programme and beyond.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the graduate programme, collecting feedback from graduates and the wider business to identify areas for improvement.






- Work with the Head of People & Talent Acquisition Manger to develop strategies to promote the graduate programme internally and externally, attracting top talent and enhancing Thurn Partners' reputation as an employer of choice.

Management Development

- Identify training needs and gaps in managerial skills (hard and soft) through assessment and feedback mechanisms.
- Develop and deliver tailored leadership development for managers (internal and external).
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to managers to reinforce learning and facilitate skill application within their roles.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of upskilling initiatives through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development amongst managers, promoting engagement and motivation to enhance skills.







Learning & Coaching Culture

- Develop and implement a comprehensive ongoing learning strategy tailored to the needs of the business and its employees, with an emphasis on sales training.
- Design and deliver engaging learning programmes, workshops, and resources to foster skill development and knowledge enhancement within Thurn Partners.
- Facilitate the integration of new technologies and learning platforms to enhance accessibility and effectiveness of ongoing learning programs.
- Provide support and guidance to employees participating in ongoing learning activities, promoting a culture of self-directed learning and professional growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of ongoing learning initiatives on employee performance and business success,





adjusting strategies as needed.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to employees, assisting them in setting and achieving professional development goals.

Future Leaders

- Identify high-potential employees and future leaders through talent assessments, performance reviews, and feedback from managers.
- Work closely with the People Team and the SLT to create individual development plans for high-potential employees, including targeted training and stretch assignments.
- Conduct regular talent reviews and succession planning meetings with SLT to assess talent pipeline and identify gaps.
- Collaborate with the People Team to ensure succession plans are integrated into performance management processes and talent acquisition strategies.

Required Experience:







- Proven experience in a similar role within an executive search, recruitment, or sales business, encompassing the majority of the key responsibilities outlined.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and rolling out successful learning programmes (ideally academies or ongoing induction programmes).
- A passion for learning and staying updated on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating new ideas and approaches into ongoing learning initiatives.
- Proficiency in technical skills, including the ability to train new graduates on tools like Office, Notion, CRMs, and more.
- Creative thinking and a natural aptitude for problem-solving.
