Special Education Needs Learning Support Assistant Required in Southampton
Location: Southampton - SO45
Salary: £90-£120 per day
Contract Type: Full Time, Monday-Friday
Start Date: 4th November

We are currently on the lookout for a compassionate and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
who is ready to make a significant impact in our school community.
Position Overview:
As a vital member of our educational team, you will support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement to succeed. In this role, you will also assist with personal care tasks, making a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individualized Support: Work closely with students, providing tailored support in both academic and personal care settings, ensuring they feel confident and empowered.
* Personal Care Assistance: Assist with essential personal care needs, including mobility support, hygiene routines, and feeding (where necessary), fostering independence and dignity.
* Learning Environment: Create a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages engagement, curiosity, and participation.
* Collaborative Teamwork: Partner with teachers to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs),
adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of each student.
* Progress Monitoring: Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to celebrate achievements and address challenges.
* Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills, ensuring you provide the best support possible.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities, is desirable.
* Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for helping students achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also being comfortable working independently.
* First Aid Knowledge: Basic first aid training is a plus, or a willingness to undertake training.
