About the role
As the Head of eCommerce Trading, you'll drive the performance of a key category on Boots.com and our app, shaping the future of our digital sales strategy. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team of stakeholders, including the commercial trading team, key suppliers, the marketing team, and our broader digital team. This role sits within the broader digital team, reporting to the Director of eCommerce with a dotted line into the commercial business unit.
Digital continues to be an important growth pillar and focus for Boots with big growth aspirations in the coming year(s).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering growth vs budget and market share growth for their category.
- Responsible for reviewing and reforecasting online sales, highlighting risks & opportunities to the broader business.
- Responsible for sharing insight on digital category performance to help key stakeholders make decisions and shape the strategy.
- Collaborate with the product and UX teams to deliver improvements that maximise customer experience, NPS and, ultimately, trading performance, for their category.
- Leading a large team; supporting their development through clear direction, feedback and support. Leading by example and creating an inclusive culture.
- Building and managing strong supplier relationships in order to effectively drive their brands through Boots.com and the app.
What you'll need to have
- We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in driving ecommerce success and a strong set of transferrable skills.
- You will have exceptional commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse data, generate actionable insights, and implement strategic initiatives.
- You should have demonstrated leadership capabilities, adept at leading teams and managing key stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Additionally, you should have outstanding organisational skills and a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Salesforce experience would be a benefit but is not essential.
