AITO, The Specialist Travel Association, represents a Family of around 250 SME Tour Operators, Travel Agents and Business Partners and Tourist Boards and has considerable footprint for an organisation of its size! It is innovative, responsible, caring and expert. The strength of the Association lies within its aim to build a community of like-minded, pioneering and profitable travel specialists to help them to fulfil their potential as the gold-standard for customer service, expertise, sustainability and innovation. AITO connects its members with each other, with Travel Agents and delivers a full range of support services from partners who are experts in every aspect of running a business.

The Role







The Marketing and Events Exectuive will be responsible for the creation of all content and material to promote the Association and its events. This will range from digital stories and brochures to flyers and event promotion. Developing relations with Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Business Partners and Tourist Boards. The scope and scale of each project will change according to the complexity and size. The position will report to the Executive Director and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and agencies. We are a small, friendly team of five and this is very much a ‘hands on’ position in a busy working environment. The role is integral to the running of the Association.

Essential

· Enthusiastic, creative, hardworking team player

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills with experience in copywriting, design, proofreading of marketing material

· Strong knowledge of Office 365, Canva marketing software and social media platforms/analytics

· Strong planning and organisational skills







· Keen to learn and develop in a fast paced environment

· Ability to work under pressure

· Willingness to take on a high level of responsibility

· Previous working experience in marketing and/or events

Desirable

· Sense of humour

· Comfortable with senior or high-level liaison

· Adaptable and solution driven

· Experience of the travel industry

· Experience of working with a PR agency

· Knowledge of web design, photo/video-editing production
