Job description

As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About the role

Welcome to the dynamic world of BYD! We are seeking a Fleet Sales to work within our new vehicle operations team to be a vital part of our growing team within the BYD family.

With the recent launch of our new vehicles last year, we anticipate thrilling growth during 2024 and beyond.

As a Fleet Sales Executive at BYD,





you will have the opportunity to be part of a team shaping the future of sustainable transportation and be an integral part of the exciting journey ahead.

Working for BYD in the passenger car division, you will play a key role in propelling our expansion and solidifying our presence in the UK providing our retailer and fleet partners with industry-leading service levels and customer excellence at the front of what we do.

The position will be field based and will report to our UK Fleet Sales Manager.

Job Summary :

The Fleet Sales Executive is responsible for fleet customer prospecting, sales and relationship account development to drive profitable sales and increase market share.

This role requires close collaboration with fleet customers from the corporate, SME and public sector sectors, retailers and other relevant partners to ensure smooth operation of sales and supply, always satisfying customer needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong B2B track record, with excellent presentation and communication skills. Commercial awareness is a key requirement, and Automotive sector, specifically Fleet sales experience is welcomed.







A keen interest in sustainability and understanding of the electric and hybrid vehicle space will be favourably considered.

Responsibilities and Duties :

- Prospect and grow the BYD fleet customer base
- Manage customer relationships with regular meetings (both face to face and remote)
- Update and maintain customer records and contact cycles
- Complete sales tenders
- Collaborate with fleet sales customers, retailers, and partners to establish and maintain sales and relationships, ensuring BYD is competitively positioned by analysing rate books and successfully positioning BYD models in corporate driver grades
- Identify new business opportunities and follow through to fruition
- Work with UK Fleet Sales Managers to maximise sales and customer satisfaction






- Represent BYD at fleet events such as regional test drives, exhibitions and static presentation days at customer premises
- Support retailer network fleet campaigns
- Accurate forecasting
- Achievement of annual sales target in line with business plan

What are we looking for :

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Degree or equivalent relevant B2B sales experience
- Proven experience in fleet sales program management within the automotive industry or related fields, with knowledge of the leasing and corporate sales industry sectors, regulations, and best practices is not essential but preferred
- A self starter, with strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and possesses decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills,





with the ability to establish productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and strong negotiation skills.
- A go getter, target chaser and high achiever, with a can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, with the ability to conduct data analysis and report writing.
- Strong team collaboration, with the capacity to work as part of the wider team to achieve common goals and effectively coordinate and communicate in cross-functional collaborations.
- Willingness to travel as required to conduct business meetings and negotiations with fleet companies and partners, sometimes at weekends / evenings as required by the business.
- Someone who has a high level of attention to detail and ensures their communications are always on point
