Key Responsibilities :
- Lead with Vision : Develop and implement a captivating Religious Education curriculum that aligns with the national framework and the school's ethos, fostering critical thinking, empathy, and respect for all faiths and beliefs.
- Empower and Inspire : Guide and mentor a team of dedicated educators, providing professional development opportunities and creating a collaborative and supportive departmental culture.
- Nurture Spiritual Growth : Create a safe and inclusive space where students feel comfortable exploring their own spirituality and engaging in meaningful discussions about faith and values.
- Champion Academic Excellence : Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing innovative assessment methods and providing constructive feedback to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
- Engage the Community : Foster strong relationships with parents, religious leaders, and the wider community, promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding.
Qualifications and Experience :
- A degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level.
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
