The Role
- Deliver Engaging Lessons : Design, plan, and deliver inspiring Geography lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can develop their geographical understanding effectively.
- Foster Practical Skills : Develop students' geographical skills, including map reading, data analysis, and fieldwork techniques.
- Prepare for Success : Prepare students for success in relevant Geography qualifications, such as GCSE, A-Level, and the IB Diploma.
- Encourage Research and Innovation : Promote independent research and exploration, inspiring students to become lifelong learners and informed citizens.
- Contribute to the Department : Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall success of the Geography department.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development : Contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography curriculum to ensure it aligns with the latest advancements in the field.
- Assessment and Evaluation : Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Professional Development :
