Scopely is looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our Monopoly Go! team in the UK on a remote basis. Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become one of Scopely’s largest games enjoyed by millions of players.
The team is based in Europe and the US,
and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.What you will do
- Work closely with the Content and Product team and contribute to the game design by ideating, and crafting high-quality content for the game
- Use your creativity, problem solving skills and excellent communication to effectively articulate concepts, briefs and ideas with artists, designers and key stakeholders
- Help to create and maintain a content roadmap that aligns with a clear content strategy and supports business goals
- Collaborate with a team of artists and designers to produce engaging user tutorials, feature narratives and text copy that resonate with players
- Write and edit ideas for original, compelling in-game content, clear game tutorials and in-game text copy that will drive engagement and player retention
- Research and implement ideas of how to add licensed IP into the game's content
- Work in a fast-paced, iterative environment with multiple projects running simultaneously
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the mobile gaming industry and implement current trends and best practices in our content design
What we’re looking for
- A highly creative Senior Content Designer with previous experience in content design, game design or narrative design, preferably on mobile games
- Experienced in working on live and content-heavy games
- Previous experience working with Licensed IP based content
- Familiarity with localization and text database tools
- Proven creative-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and lead junior content designers and collaborate with the product team
- Ability to work effectively with remote and global teams
- Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with team members is multiple time-zones
- Ability to travel for occasional team offsites
Bonus points
- Experience working with Unity
- Experience in narrative design
- Experience working with Licensed IP-based content
- An understanding of Art production pipelines
- Storyboarding knowledge
