About the Role :
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving department and play a key role in inspiring and developing the next generation of business leaders and economists.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons across the Business & Economics curriculum, preparing students for A-Level examinations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Curriculum Delivery :
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating Business & Economics lessons for A-Level students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Stay abreast of current developments in the business and economic world, integrating them into your lessons to enhance student understanding.
- Assessment and Feedback :
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform future teaching.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
- Enrichment Activities :
- Contribute to and potentially lead extracurricular activities related to Business & Economics (e.g., business simulations, guest speaker events, university visits).
- Professional Development :
- Actively participate in departmental and college-wide professional development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified Business & Economics teacher with a minimum of 3 years' successful teaching experience at A-Level.
- A proven track record of raising standards in Business & Economics and a demonstrable passion for the subjects.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to staying current with developments in the business and economic world.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
