Job Title : Kitchen Assistant

Contract Type : Permanent - Full Time 38.5 hours per week, including alternate weekends.

Rate of pay : £11.70 per hour

Locations : Somerhill Nursing Home, Little Somerford, Nr. Malmesbury, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 5BH - Due to the remote location of the home, a car driver would be beneficial.

Job Description :

- Assist the Chef in the preparation of meals.
- Undertaking preparation, plating and serving of meals to Residents, staff, and visitors as required.
- Preparing and heating up breakfast items and serve as required.
- Heating up or baking prepared supper food and serve as required.
- Preparing sandwiches as required by the Chef.
- Providing necessary crockery, cutlery, trays and serving utensils.
- Ensuring that the trolleys are clean and well presented before being transported to the floors for serving.
- Thoroughly cleaning all serving trolleys after each meal.

Required Skills, Abilities and Experience :

- We provide our staff with the training required for the role, so no direct kitchen experience is required, although it is beneficial.
- A background in Customer Service or a People Oriented Environment is desirable.
- Individuals who can adapt well to working as a team and independently






- Individuals who have good verbal and written communication
- Evidence of having undertaken relevant training i.e. health & safety, food hygiene is not required, although it is beneficial.
