Maintenance Engineer - Ballymena - Full Time
Our Client are leaders in the manufacture of High Density Polyethylene bottles for the food and drinks industry and are currently on the interested hearing from Engineers with a strong electrical and mechanical background to join their maintenance team.

- Starting salary £40,425 per annum
- Hours of work : 12 hour shifts
- Permanent job
- Hands on role working alongside management and engineering departments
Your focus will be t o ensure that the plant,
machinery and equipment meets agreed standards of performance. Your responsibilities will include :
- Work closely with both Shift Manager and the Engineering Department to carry out any servicing, repairs and maintenance
- To suggest new projects or working practices to ensure continual improvement.
- To monitor the performance of the machinery and equipment, and to be proactive in avoiding downtime
- Problem solving and fault diagnosis on a range of equipment - blow moulding machines, air compressors, chillers, conveyors etc
- Knowledge of PLC operation and interrogation.
Criteria :
- Time served engineer
- ONC qualification
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics with the ability to reseal and repair components
- Demonstrate a hands-on results orientated approach
- Practical understanding of PLC equipment
- Ability to fault find with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrics and electronics.
